Entered Seminary after High School, 1954 and was ordained a priest in St. Peter's Basilica on December 20, 1961 while at the North American College.  Pastoral assignments have included Catholic High School teaching, Archdiocesan Administration of Religious Education (1969-73), seminary teaching, college teaching, and parish ministry.

Assoc. Prof. of Moral Theology, St. Charles Seminary (part time 1966-73 and full time 1974 -83).

Invited to Rome as one of nine participants at a Colloquium of the Vatican's Pontifical    Commission on Justice and Peace entitled "The Human Person: Criteria for Development," 1981

Invited as a Consultant on the moral theology of disarmament for the NCCB Ad Hoc Committee on Peace, February 12, 1982 in preparation for the       Bishops' Pastoral on Peace

Invited to critique papers and participate in a special meeting of the NCCB Priestly LIfe and Ministry Committee 1979

Invited Participant of NCCB Colloquia between Bishops and Scholars sponsored by The NCCB Doctrine Committee 1979, '80, '81, '82, '83.

Elected Offices, Appointments and Awards
Elected to the Council of Priests three times.

Elected twice for two separate three-year terms to the National  Council of Pax Christi USA 1981-84 and 1984-87

Elected to the Steering Committee for the Moral Theology Seminar of The Catholic Theological Society of America for the term 1986-88.

Received the SIGN (Service in God's Name) Award from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Community Service Corps 1984-85.

Appointed to the Medical-Moral Committee of Mercy Catholic Medical and have served since 1986.

Invited lecturer for the Introductory Talks at a meeting of Pax Christi International and the Delegates of the Russian Orthodox Church in Odessa, USSR, November 1985.

Workshops, Lectures, Retreats, Programs.
Over the years I have spent a great deal of time in ongoing education for priests.  For example, moral theology workshops for the Dioceses of Pittsburgh, Greeensburg, Orlando, Camden, Allentown, Charlotte and Raleigh,  Detroit,  Miami,  Wilmington, Cincinnati
.
I have given retreats to priests, sisters and to seminaries both in the Philadelphia area and in other areas such as, Boston, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Priest of Institute of the Cor Jesu, Camden priests, Newark Priests.

1972-73 I served as Director of a year-long program entitled The Archdiocesan Youth Conference, a process of dialogue between young adults and the Church.

Talks and workships in behalf of my work as Coordinator or Religious Education, in Office of Catholic Education from 1969-73

Lectures to Seminary and College Facultys, for example, St. Joseph's University faculty, Villanova Theology faculty, the Board of Rosemont College, the faculty of Mary Immaculate Seminary, Northhampton, and to the students of North American College, Mount Airy Lutheran Seminary, and talks to students of area Colleges.  Also lectures at Conventions of the NCEA, the Catholic Theological Society of America, Pax Christi National Assemblies 

Many talks  to Philadelphia parishes and groups, including the Philopatrian Society, Serra Clubs, Catholic Physicians Guild, Home and Schools, faculties of high schools, and elementary schools, Archdiocesan Religious Education Conventions, Pro-Life Conventions and Pro-Life groups in the area.

Archdiocesan representative on team of priests in a one-year dialogue with Episcopal Priests 1967-68
